Ski Safari in the Dolomites

Ski back in time to the Great War

A ski route that takes you to the scene of the First World War in the Dolomites. 80km long, full of charming places and stunning views, emerging beneath the imposing peaks of the Civetta, Pelmo, Tofane and Marmolada. The route forms a loop that winds around the symbol of the Great War: the Col di Lana. From La Villa you can join the route by taking the Piz La Villa cable car and continuing towards Corvara, then down to Arabba, first going up the Boè and then through the Campolongo pass. From Arabba the Great War Circuit climbs towards Porta Vescovo, arriving at the foot of the Marmolada at Malga Ciapela, where you can take a detour to the glacier. You then come to the village of Alleghe and on to the Falzarego pass, where you continue through Alta Badia with the Lagazuoi ski circuit on the longest and most enchanting piste in the Dolomites.
