Fanes-Senes-Braies natural park
Its 15,680 hectares make it the largest natural park in Alto Adige. But Fanes-Senes-Braies is perhaps also the most beautiful, and is certainly the most diverse and intriguing park in the Dolomites in terms of its scenic beauty and geology. This diversity resulted in the natural park's inclusion as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the Residence apartments the view of the park is obscured by the solid wall of rock of the Sas dla Crusc, a natural barrier that in all likelihood gave rise to the wonderful legend of the Rëgn de Fanes (Reign of Fanes). Fanes-Senes-Braies is also very popular for its crystal clear watercourses and its charming alpine lakes, such as the famous Lake Braies, but also the Fanes waterfalls, the Lé Vërt lake, Lake Limo and the pools of the Gran Fanes pastures. At the heart of the park lie the alpine summer pastures of Senes and Fanes, with nature stretching out before you in all its splendour, full of alpine pastures and mountains to explore. Landscapes that will certainly stay in your memory.
